Peter Thomas Roth Peels & Scrubs
-
After daily cleansing, exfoliation is the most important step before using any cream or mask.
Exfoliation removes debris and deeply accumulated pollutants, so that creams and serums can do an efficient job and reach deep into the skin.
According to skin type, you should exfoliate once or twice a week, unless you are using glycolic acid products.
Glycolic acid products effect an exfoliation by their very nature, so an added exfoliation is not necessary while on a glycolic acid routine.
Peeling can be effected with either a simple scrub or a more sophisticated leave-on-and-wash peel.
The scrubs do a good job of removing surface debris, but they need to be used cautiously so as not to scrub too much of the epidermis and cause a scrape.
The chemical peels are more agressive and need to be used with caution. General rule for use is once weekly. Test your skin tolerance before starting to use a chemical peel. Follow the instructions carefully.
We would be happy to advise on product use and answer any skin related questions.
